During every swing 200 measurements are recorded by 3 accelerometers inside the G6 and converted by algorithm into 4 swing parameters: Tempo, Rhythm, Backswing Length and club head speed.

 

Tempo: Total swing duration from takeaway to contact in seconds

Rhythm: % of the total swing consumed by the downswing

Backswing Length: measured in degrees, the distance your wrist travels during the back swing

Club Head Speed: measured in kph or mph, speed of club on impact

 

You may utilize the G6 in Practice, Test or Game mode.

 

Practice Mode: Ideal for the range to benchmark your ideal swing parameters. Utilize the G6 to review your data after each swing and save specific swings for future review to highlight particularly good or bad strokes. Also utilize the practice mode at the beginning of a round to monitor your divergence from the benchmarks established during your range practice.

 

Test Mode: Also utilized at the range, the test mode monitors your swing consistency to show % variance in the 4 parameters on each swing. Helps identify which area of your swing needs immediate attention to improve consistency.

 

Game Mode: In Game mode the G6 will not only display your swing data (if desired) it will also keep score in scratch, stableford, stroke or match play.

 

Additionally, the G6 PRO model also allows you to create and download course information to your computer via the included USB cable. Additionally it allows you to download all of your swing data into the Suunto Golf Manager Software for future analysis.
